Marcie’s Marvelous Knoephla Soup

Soup Ingredients:

4 cups water

2 cups chicken broth

1 large onion (diced)

1 celery stalk (diced)

2 cups potato (diced)

2 bay leaves

2 chicken bouillon cubes

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 cup cream (substitute half and half for a healthier option)

Dough Ingredients:

3 cups flour

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions for Soup:

1. In a big pot, add water and broth – then add onion, celery, potatoes, and seasoning.

2. Boil until the potatoes are done.

3. Add cream and knoephla.

4. Simmer 30-40 minutes.

Instructions for Dough:

1. Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and enough water to make the dough stiff (about 3/4 cup).

2. Roll into 1/2 inch ropes and cut (or pinch) 1/2 inch pieces.
